Proposed Municipal Development Plan Amendment
Yorkton City Council will consider an amendment to the City’s Municipal Development Plan Bylaw No. 15/2003. Through Bylaw No. 10/2013, the properties shown in the map below, are proposed to be re-designated from Commercial to Institutional use and are to be removed from the future phasing map.

Reasons for the Amendment
To allow for future development of the Trades and Technology campus of the Parkland Regional College. The lands are City-owned and there is an agreement in place to provide the lands to the College for the new facility. Rezoning of the lands from C-3 Highway Commercial to IN Institutional will also be required, but cannot be completed until the Municipal Development Plan amendment is passed.

City Council will hear all submissions on the proposed amendment on Monday, May 27, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. in City Hall Council Chambers, Yorkton, Saskatchewan.
All written submissions for City Council’s consideration must be provided by 12:00 noon on Thursday, May 23, 2013. Written submissions must be directed to:

Bylaw No. 15/2013 - 295 Bradbrooke Drive
Proposed Zoning Bylaw Amendment
Yorkton City Council will consider an amendment to the City’s Zoning Bylaw No. 14/2003. Through Bylaw No. 15/2013, 295 Bradbrooke Drive, shown in the map below, is proposed to be rezoned from C-4 Neighbourhood Commercial to R-3 Medium Density Residential.

Reasons for the Amendment
To allow for construction of a 4-story rental apartment dwelling. The owner has provided preliminary plans for a 33-unit, modularly constructed building. The units would be developed primarily as bachelor suites, with floor areas of either 320 sq ft or 512 sq ft.
The property is currently vacant and is situated between a 3-storey apartment dwelling to the west and a professional/medical office to the east. A gravelled lane with overhead power lines flanks the property on the westerly lot line. The Yorkton Regional Health Centre is located across Bradbrooke Drive.

2013 Assessment Roll
As per subsection 187(1) of The Cities Act, the assessment roll for the City of Yorkton for the year 2013 has been prepared and is open to inspection in the office of the Assessor from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the following days: March 27 to May 27, 2013.
Any person who wishes to appeal against his or her assessment or classification to the Board of Revision is required to file his or her appeal with:
