Involvement

During my 30 years of teaching we had the good fortune of living in Swift Current, Kenaston, Wolseley and Yorkton - all good Saskatchewan communities. In each of these locations I was fortunate to be involved in the School and Community through coaching sports, serving on various Boards and Service Clubs or helping in local events. In the various Parishes I had the opportunity to participate in Childrens Liturgy, Lay Presiding Services, Bible Study, Reading at Mass, Parish Council, Youth Group, Knights of Columbus and Baptismal Preparation Classes.

In my Professional Teaching Career I served on a variety of committees dealing with Report Cards, Professional Development for Teachers, Standard and Quality of Education, Local Negotiations, Convention Planning, Public Relations and Resolutions.

I was a member of different Administrator Groups in the Province as well as a member of the STF Ambassador Program. I attended workshops on Violence in Schools, Middle Years in Education, Intern Teaching, SADD, Religious Education and Encounters With Canada ( Terry Fox Centre ) in order to keep current in my chosen field.

I consider it a privilege to be a member of the Catholic School Board. All parents hope that their schools provide a good, quality education for their children. We attempt to do this through our faith experience, academic teaching and extra-curricular activities.

I encourage people to vote in the upcoming Civic Election on October 28th and I would appreciate your consideration of myself as a worthy candidate for the position of Trustee for the Christ The Teacher Roman Catholic Separate School Division.
